Rent a Blackmagic camera
Making high-quality video accessible to everyone. That is the goal of Blackmagic and they succeed quite well. The Australian brand offers cameras in 2 categories: digital film and live production. There is plenty to choose from. For example, there are affordable cameras that run 4K or 6K, with a large dynamic range. And they fit most of the common lenses. But they also deliver professional cameras that shoot RAW and ProRes footage in 4.6K. Often in high frame rates for beautiful cinematic shots. At Gearbooker you usually rent a full set, including lenses, batteries and storage. Check the provider if you have specific wishes.
Looking for a video converter?
Blackmagic pretty much invented the
video converter. We rent them in different shapes and sizes, from a simple HDMI to SDI converter to an extensive 10-bit HD/SD machine for recording and playback via USB 3.0.
Video mixers and switchers for live productions
For live television, events or online streaming, a
video mixer or switcher is indispensable if you use multiple sources. Blackmagic has different switchers for small and large jobs. Simple ones with which you can easily switch between HDMI inputs through a clear control panel. A well known product is the Blackmagic Atem Mini video mixer. For larger productions we have Blackmagic modules that fit in your 19”rack. You can switch up to 8 cameras at the same time in ultra HD. Really useful for webinars or events, for example.
And then there’s the top line, with up to 20 SDI inputs and all kinds of visual editing options, such as chroma keys and image transitions. In real time.
Rent a Blackmagic video assist with your camera
During your shoot or edit session, you want to see what you are doing. A high-quality video assist or
monitor is really essential during this stage. Blackmagic provides models with super sharp resolution, a bright screen, and useful support, such as waveform, histogram and LUT support. Both with HDMI and with SDI input.
Some monitors have recording options, directly from the camera, in different formats, such as Apple ProRes, Avid DNx or Blackmagic RAW. That is why video assists are also used to upgrade older cameras. And of course, you also use a video assistant or monitor to check your shots or as a viewer for client and director. You can rent these
monitors here on Gearbooker too.
Stream media in HD
Do you want to broadcast live video to your viewers online? Then you need a
media streamer. Gearbooker rents out models that allow you to create high-quality live streams of your professional video images. Feed SDI and HDMI sources to your computer's USB port, ideal for streaming via Skype, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch.tv or Periscope. And of course, that also includes audio, via an XLR microphone input.
